Ed DeAguilera was born and raised in Orlando and is a graduate of the University of Central Florida and Columbia College. Ed is President and CEO of the Down Syndrome Association of Central Florida, a not-for-profit that provides support and education for parents with children with down syndrome.
Throughout his career and volunteer efforts, Ed has worked tirelessly for his community. He feels honored to have worked for such organizations as the SPCA of Central Florida, City of Winter Garden, Fringe Festival Orlando, and the Hispanic Chamber of Commerce of Metro Orlando.
He and his wife Freda, a speech pathologist for Orange County Public Schools, have been married for 15 years and have two children, Delaney and Edward.
Living in Orlando his entire life, Ed has seen tremendous growth in his community and understands its needs. He’s garnered incredible friendships and support through his work for this community. Now, Ed feels the calling to serve his home town on a greater level. With the support of his wife, friends and family, Ed decided it was time to put his years of experience to work for you.
“We do not need to transform our Country, we need to change the way we do politics.”, says DeAguilera.
